What's Duckly?
Duckly is an IDE plugin that makes coding multiplayer. It allows developers to talk, share their code, server, terminal, and collaborate in real-time with people using different IDEs. Duckly is available for VS Code and all IntelliJ IDEA-based IDEs.
How to start with Duckly?
- Create a Duckly account and select your username.
- Create a team or join an existing one.
- Start a coding session!
How can I share my code?
Share your code by using the Duckly plugin for your IDE. Install the plugin for your and IDE and login your IDE with your Duckly account.
Once you are on a Duckly call, you will be able to share your code or join a coding session with our IDE plugins.
By the way, the code is shared P2P and it never touches our servers.

How can I share my terminal
Install our terminal integration with npm so you can share any terminal session on a Duckly call.
To install, type on your terminal: $ npm install --global duckly
Then login on your Duckly account: $ duckly login
While on a call, type this on your terminal: $ duckly share
Does the code or repository has to be on Duckly?
No. We don't store any code and no data touches our servers. We allow you to share your code P2P and encrypted with other people of your team so you can collaborate in real-time.
Is there a native app?
Not yet, but you can use the Duckly web app directly with our IDE plugins.
What data are you collecting?
We deeply care about your privacy and security.
We use Segment with Amplitude to analyze the product usage. We use Google Analytics to analyze the web traffic. Any personal info stored is the one provided by the user and can also be deleted very easily by the user.
